Can you tell us about your role at WarehouseQuote?
I’m responsible for helping to develop, maintain and improve the WarehouseQuote web portal. My role primarily involves computer programming with the goal of providing an intuitive, reliable, scalable user interface for our internal teams and clients.
What does your typical workday look like right now?
Whether I’m working remotely or in the office, my day always begins with a team meeting to review yesterday’s progress and today’s objectives. If the agenda is light, I’ll spend the majority of the day coding, working on tickets to introduce new features, enhance existing features or correct bugs in the portal. Otherwise, I might be in meetings, reviewing code or producing documentation.
How did you get to where you are today?
That’s a long story, but the cliffnotes are this: The disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic provided me an opportunity to evaluate my career. I set a new direction for myself and invested all the time I could gather into learning software development skills. I hoped that going this direction would provide me with a better, happier life, and here I am today, better and happier.
What excites you about working at WarehouseQuote?
Everyone at WarehouseQuote is motivated to be successful, both as individuals and as a company. Besides the work itself, I’m excited to work at WarehouseQuote because it feels like we’re building something great.
